Fridays are sacred here
A Juneau County Friday, done the old way
In Wisconsin, Friday night means fish fry — and at Roman Castle it's been that way since 1995. The batter is mixed in our kitchen, the tartar sauce is homemade, and the bread comes out of our own oven the same day.
We're an easy stop off I-90/94 between Madison and Wisconsin Dells — about ten minutes from New Lisbon and Lyndon Station, fifteen from Necedah and Camp Douglas, and worth the drive from Elroy and beyond.
Pair it with a Wisconsin brew — Leinenkugel's or Capital Brewery on the list — and finish with a slice of fruit pie à la mode. Or come early: we serve breakfast from 7am, and the full menu runs all day.
